Flight Deck

My five year old son Luke "flying" a Vickers VC10 airliner at the Brooklands Museum in Weybridge, Surrey.

The Museum is built on the site of the former Brooklands racing circuit and Vickers aircraft factory where iconic planes such as the Wellington bomber and Vickers Viscount were built.

The Museum is very family friendly and well worth a visit.

Drumming in the New Year

A member of Section 5 Hastings drummers drumming in the old town on New Year's Day 2013.

I won't promise, but this year I'm hoping to post more frequently to this and my other blogs!

Please feel free to leave any comments.

Kitchener

Memorial to Field Marshall Kitchener outside Fort Amherst in Chatham, Kent.

Kitchener's face appeared on the famous World War I British Army recruiting posters. He died in 1916 whilst on the way to a diplomatic mission in Russia. His ship was sunk by a mine laid by a German U boat.
