Taken on a recent walk through the North Downs near Meopham, Kent
Exactly what it says on the "tin". I would love to do a 365 day photo blog but know that even with the best of intentions, I will not have the spare time to keep it up so... It's just somewhere for me to share pictures which I find interesting and hopefully some of you will too!

Skull
As you can see my new diet is going well....Actually this is one of Charles Darwin's specimens on display at Down House in Kent where he lived for many years. The house is open to the public and well worth a visit if you are in the area.
I will (eventually) write a post one day about the great man on my Kent blog.

Drowning Man
This is a close up shot I took a few months ago. It is part of the Destroyer Memorial at Chatham Historic Dockyard in Kent.
The memorial commemorates all the Royal Navy destroyer personnel lost during the Second World War.
The destroyers formed the backbone of the Royal Navy and were used in every theatre from the Arctic Circle to the Pacific and in a multitude of roles.
The Historic Dockyard is well worth a visit if you find yourself in the area. A wide range of exhibits including the destroyer HMS Cavalier.
