On the footplate

This is a view of the footplate of the steam engine 60163 Tornado taken during a water stop at Headcorn, Kent earlier this year.

I like the way the glow of the fire reflects on the fireman's face.

My son was lucky enough to be invited up to have a quick look on the footplate.

This is the most viewed picture on my Flickr account. I don't know why. People just seem to like it for some reason.

The chimneys at the former Blue Circle / Lafarge Northfleet Cement Works which were demolished by controlled explosions last year to make way for (another) new housing estate.
