Exactly what it says on the "tin". I would love to do a 365 day photo blog but know that even with the best of intentions, I will not have the spare time to keep it up so... It's just somewhere for me to share pictures which I find interesting and hopefully some of you will too!

Drowning Man
This is a close up shot I took a few months ago. It is part of the Destroyer Memorial at Chatham Historic Dockyard in Kent.
The memorial commemorates all the Royal Navy destroyer personnel lost during the Second World War.
The destroyers formed the backbone of the Royal Navy and were used in every theatre from the Arctic Circle to the Pacific and in a multitude of roles.
The Historic Dockyard is well worth a visit if you find yourself in the area. A wide range of exhibits including the destroyer HMS Cavalier.

Chimneys at Northfleet Cement Works
This is the most viewed picture on my Flickr account. I don't know why. People just seem to like it for some reason.
The chimneys at the former Blue Circle / Lafarge Northfleet Cement Works which were demolished by controlled explosions last year to make way for (another) new housing estate.
For more information and pictures of the demolition, please see the following posts on my sister blog....

Eynsford Viaduct
Eynsford viaduct built in 1859 to carry the railway line from London across the Darent Valley in Kent. Still in daily use today. A testament to Victorian engineering!
This picture was taken last Summer when the rape seed crop was at it's height.
Please see information about the Darent Valley please see my sister blog

King of the Castle
King of the castle or should that be.....
The dirty rascal?
Taken today during a boys afternoon out at Greenhithe, Kent. There is a nice walkway alongside the Thames and kid's play area.
The only thing that spoils it are the people who let their dogs sh*t everywhere without thinking of anyone else....
